Technical Documentation On Line (TDOL) Management
The Design Repository (DR) was created to provide the British Armed Forces with a secure location for the management of key project data and complex technical documents, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data, Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR) and Through Life Management Plans (TLMPs).
One function of the DR is to provide on-line access to current technical information for the Royal Navy through Books of Reference (BR), the Army through Army Equipment Support Publications (AESPs) and the Royal Air Force through Air Publications (AP). This is achieved via Technical Documentation On Line (TDOL).
TDOL provides viewing access to a vast number of BRs, AESPs and APs to all organisations with a DR link. This facility has significantly reduced the need for hard copy technical manuals.
TMS Support Solutions Ltd (TMS) is one of very few civilian companies with access to TDOL, providing us with the unique ability to offer the following services:
- Creation of new military technical manuals
- Amendments and up-editions of existing manuals (one off or ongoing support packages)
- Preparation of all manuals for upload to TDOL (print instruction pagination files and correctly formatted .pdf files)
- Loading new or amended manuals, amendment instructions and pagination files onto TDOL
We are currently responsible for the ongoing production and TDOL support of a large number of technical manuals, either directly for MoD project teams, or indirectly through sub-contractors.
