TMS staff were delighted to be able to support Grantham Canal Society during 2017.
Throughout the year staff raised money for the Society by putting their baking skills to the test with numerous ‘Bake Offs’, a Grand National Sweepstake and Christmas Raffle.
Theresa Cannon, TMS’s Owner Director said, “Once again our staff have raised a magnificent amount of money and we are delighted to be able to support a local charity.”
A cheque for £400 was recently presented to David Lyneham-Brown – Chief Executive of Grantham Canal Society who commented “I am delighted to accept this donation from TMS. Every donation is extremely valuable and allows us to continue the work on this very important part of English canal history.”
Theresa also added, “It was interesting to hear about the work the volunteers undertake on a daily basis, especially on the historic Jessop locks, part of the Woolsthorpe Flight. Once this work is completed it will really open up the canal for more people to enjoy, including many of our staff.”
